On Saturday the teams of Alps Hockey League will play a complete round (round 3). On Sunday follows the game between HK SZ Olimpija and Hockey Milano Rossoblu from round 2. Both teams show up twice this weekend.

Sat, 22.09.2018, 18.00: HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice – Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey
Referees: DURCHNER, SUPPER, Legat, Reisinger
On Saturday HCC SIJ Acroni Jesenice against Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey opens the third round of Alps Hockey League. Reigning Champion Asiago, which will face Lustenau Friday night before, posted a shut-out win on its season opener. Last year semifinalist Jesenice celebrated a walkover in its first game of the season and got defeated by Sterzing after penalty shootout on Thursday. Asiago won the last four games against Jesenice in the past.

Sat, 22.09.2018, 19.30: EC KAC II – Hockey Milano Rossoblu
Referees: BAJT, LESNIAK, Crnkic, Markizeti
The EC KAC II welcomes Hockey Milano Rossoblu at its second home game of the season. The Italian side plays its first game in the Alps Hockey League, after their opener against Feldkirch was not played due to poor ice conditions. The Austrian side played two games so far, receiving eight goals each game and suffered clear defeats. 

Sat, 22.09.2018, 19.30: EC Bregenzerwald – S.G. Cortina Hafro

S.G. Cortina Hafro guests at EC Bregenzerwald. The Austrian side started the season with a shoot-out win against Kitzbühel and suffered a 3:6 defeat against Feldkirch in the derby on the second game day. Cortina lost its opener against Jesenice 1:7 and celebrated afterwards a 3:1 home win against Fassa after a strong opening frame. The Italian side won the last to games against Bregenzerwald past season. Overall, the ratio of victory is 4:2 for Cortina.

Sat, 22.09.2018, 19.30: EK Die Zeller Eisbären – VEU Feldkirch

On Saturday the EK Die Zeller Eisbären and the VEU Feldkirch will play their second game of the season. Both teams started well and gained victories in their first face off: Zell dominated the duel against EC KAC II by winning 8:3. Feldkirch secured a 6:3 win against Bregenzerwald in its first derby of the new season. The VEU won three of the four games past season.

Sat, 22.09.2018, 19.30: Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan – EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel

On Saturday the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan host the EC “Die Adler” Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. The Italian side remained unbeaten after the first two games. The “eagles” suffered a defeat by shootout in the first game of the season and stroke back with a clear 3:0 victory at Gröden in the second round. Both teams celebrated home wins in the past season. At all, the home team prevailed five of the last six duels. 

Sat, 22.09.2018, 20.00: HC Fassa Falcons – EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau

The HC Fassa Falcons welcomes EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau in its second home game of the season. The team of Trentino is still without points in the current season. They lost against Ljubljana and Cortina and scored only one goal each game. Lustenau, which will play at Asiago Friday evening, opened the season with a 7:3 victory against vice-champion Ritten. Moreover, the Austrian side dominated all four games against the Italians so far, scoring at least three more goals each game. 

Sat, 22.09.2018, 20.00: HC Pustertal Wölfe – Rittner Buam
Referees: FAJDIGA, METZINGER, Cristeli M., Piras
Leader in standings HC Pustertal faces last years vice-champion Rittner Buam. The “wolves” opened the season brilliantly and booked clear victories against Ljubljana and Salzburg by receiving only one goal each game. Ritten suffered a tough 3:7 defeat against Lustenau in its first game of the season. On Thursday they rehabilitated themselves with a clear 8:2 win against EC KAC II. They faced each other during preseason. The “wolves” took a 3:2 win after shootout. Ritten dominated the last two AHL-duels against Pustertal celebrating shut-out wins twice. 

Sat, 22.09.2018, 20.30: HC Gherdeina valgardena.it – HK SZ Olimpija
Referees: STEFENELLI, VIRTA, Rigoni, Slaviero
The HC Gherdeina valgardena.it plays at home against HK SZ Olimpija in the third round. The Italian side is still waiting for the first points of the season. Gröden got defeated twice and scored only one goal. Last year quarterfinalist from Slovenia had a better start into the season of Alps Hockey League and secured one win in the first two rounds. Ljubljana dominated both battles against Gröden in the past season.

On Sunday HK SZ Olimpija and Hockey Milano Rossoblu play again. These two teams face each other for the first time.
