EC-KAC extends contract with defender Strong

Erste Bank Eishockey Liga champion EC-KAC has announced the contract extension with Steven Strong. The native Canadian stays at the KAC for another two years. In 2015, the defender came as a supplementary player to the Carinthians. With good performances he rapidly earned a permanent place in the defense. In 250 games so far in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga for the KAC the 26-year-old scored 48 points (17 goals, 28 assists) and had a plus/minus statistic of +26. The General Manager of the KAC Oliver Pilloni is pleased about the contract extension with Strong: "Steven Strong played in four years at our club under five different coaches, in each he prevailed and claimed his regular place, the same applies to the national team. The coaches and management appreciate the straightforwardness of his game. Accordingly we are pleased that Steven Strong also sees his medium term future in Klagenfurt."

Schofield stays at Black Wings Linz

The Canadian Rick Schofield extends his contract with LIWEST Black Wings Linz for another season. The center was able to look back to his second-best season in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga last season. With 52 points scored (23 goals, 29 assists) he missed his value of the previous season by a narrow margin. Overall, Schofield has scored 69 goals and 72 assists in 167 Erste Bank Eishockey Liga matches for the Upper Austrians.
