Contract extensions in all participating countries

The teams of Sky Alps Hockey League operate at full stretch for their 2017-18 rosters. Last season's semifinalist HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice extended contracts with Miha Logar and Luka Kalan. While Christian Haidinger stays at EC Bregenzerwald, EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel renewed the contract of Filip Orsagh. In Italy Martin Castlunger remains faithful to HC Fassa Falcons.

Defensman Miha Logar (21-year-old) and center Luka Kalan (24) both started their career with Triglav Kranj and played for several youth teams at EC Red Bull Salzburg. They broke into senior level with HDD Olimpija Ljubljana where they played almost 100 games in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. Last campaign both came to Jesenice with Kalan scoring 39 points (13G/26A, +7) in 48 games and Logar making 19 points (3G/16A,  +1) in 30 matches. Now both extended their contracts for another season with the steelers. 
 
Haidinger will score again for ECB
After learning to play hockey in his home town Linz, Christian Haidinger came to the Bregenerwald team in 2011. Already in his first season he was a key player and in the following four INL seasons he won the title twice with his side. The 27-year-old forward showed his qualities in the first Sky Alps Hockey League season again as he was the third best scorer on the team (11G/18A in 35 games). 
 
Kitzbühel extends with defender Filip Orsagh 
Filip Orsagh played for HC Slovan Bratislava and EC Red Bull Salzburg in several youth teams. He played his first season on senior level for Kapfenberg in 2014, before tranferring to Kitzbühel one year later. The 22-year-old has done well in the last two years and fits to the concept of head coach Joe West and the whole club. After gaining six points (2G, 4A) in his first AHL season, he will hit the ice for the Eagles again.
 
Martin Castlunger adds another season with Fassa
Martin Castlunger remained faithful to HC Fassa Falcons by signing a new contract. The 23-year-old forwards heads into his ninth season on senior level with his home club. Last Sky Alps Hockey League campaign, Castlunger earned eight goals and twelve assists in 25 games. In addition, he played three games for the Italian national team.
