After three away defeats in a row, S.G. Cortina Hafro has won on the road. The Italians won at EC Bregenzerwald with 4:2. After ten games - and for the first time since October 14th, 2020 (2:4 vs. KEC) - the "Wälder" remained without a point win at home. In the standings, Cortina moved up to the top-5 with its fourth win from the last five games, now hving 42 points. Bregenzerwald got off a better start - also because goalie Felix Beck saved 13 shots on his goal in the opening frame – as it took the lead through Julian Metzler (15.). Cortina, however, had produced more on the offensive end in the second period, equalizing in the 31st minute through Michael Zanatta - and then Chad Pietroniro (40.) again had a good response to the second ECB lead by Simon Wolf (33.) with 31 seconds left in the second. The visitors then prevailed in the last: Three minutes before the end Remy Giftopoulos once again hit the game-winner for Cortina, before Mike Cazzola finally scored the empty-netter for the final score.
