Both teams have the chance to qualify as first Austrian team for the semi finals. These two teams already battled for the Austrian Alps Hockey League Champion and are again the last two Austrian teams in the competition. While the top-scorer of Lustenau, Marc-Olivier Vallerand, is out for season the top-scorer of Salzburg set a new Milestone. With 81 points Oliver Nordberg captured the most points in one season in AHL-history.
