Salzburg lost at Växjöa
The EC Red Bull Salzburg lost their second game of Champions Hockey League on the road against the Växjö Lakers with 2:5. The hosts took the control right from the beginning of the game. During their first powerplay Austin Ortega opened the scoring. In the 15th minute Janne Pesonen doubled the lead. After the first break Salzburg increased the pressure and Matthias Trattnig managed to narrow the gap with his first goal. Minutes after that Brant Harris had the big opportunity for the equalizer but didn’t manage to score. In 33rd minute Roman Horak capitalized on a 5:3 powerplay and scored the third goal for the hosts. Also in the final period the Lakers scored in powerplay for the 4:1. Five minutes before the end Thomas Raffl scored the second goal for his team, but it was too late for the comeback. Austin Ortega created the result of 5:2 in the final minute.
Caps had to take overtime defeat
The Vienna Capitals lost after overtime against the Aalborg Pirates with 2:3. After a couple of chances in the beginning, the team of Head-Coach Dave Cameron opened the scoring in the seventh minute. Schneider, who already scored at the first game against Fröunda, scored from the left hashmarks. The Caps are still in the control of the game. In the second period Aalborg started a phase of pressure and tied the game. Only 95 seconds after that, the Danish team made the turnaround and Jeppe Jul Korsgaard scored the 2:1. But the Caps had the right answer. Rafael Rotter tied the game again. In the third period both teams created chances but without success. The Caps had to start the overtime shorthanded and Thomas Spelling found the decision for Aalborg.

Fehervar and Zagreb are in the final of the Ojkay Gabor Tournament
In the preaseason Fehervar AV19 won at the Ojkay Gabor against Asiago with 6:3. The hosts of the tournament had a good start and scored a quick first goal. Asiago managed to tie the game, before Fehervar recaptured the lead with two more goals in the first period. Asiago had the answer in the second period and narrowed the gap to 2:4. But the hosts kept their focus and scored to further goals. Still in the second Asiago scored the 3:6, but they couldn’t come back in the final period. With a final result of 6:3 Fehervar qualified for the final against KHL Medvescak Zagreb, who won with 2:1 against Grenoble.
Villach lost against KooKoo
In a fast game the EC Panaceo VSV had to take a 1:2 defeat. Both teams had good chances in the first period but didn’t manage to score. The Finnish team took control and the lead in the second. In the third period Kalle Valtola increased the lead for KooKoo. The VSV had the quick answer. Jason DeSantis scored the first goal for the hosts. But Villach didn’t manage to score the equalizer and lost with 1:2.
99ers booked win against MAC Budapest
The Moser Medical Graz 99ers won 4:1 against MAC Budapest. In the fourth minute Garbowsky opened the scoring for the 99ers. In the 28th minute Matt Caito increased the lead. At the beginning of the final period, the bears scored their first goal, before Garbowsky and Loney created the result of 4:1 for the 99ers.
