Defencemen Tobias Sablattnig and Maximilian Preiml have extended their contracts with the EC-KAC. Both have signed new contracts that tie them to the Red Jackets until 2027.

Tobias Sablattnig (22) has played for the EC-KAC since he was a child, going through all stages of the youth programme and making his debut with the team in November 2021. The defenceman honed his skills for adult ice hockey in the Future Team in the Alps Hockey League (86 AHL appearances) and established himself as a regular in the professional team in the 2023/24 season. Tobias Sablattnig has played 133 competitive games for the Red Jackets in the win2day ICE Hockey League and CHL, from which he has 28 points (nine goals, 19 assists) and a +28 rating.

Maximilian Preiml (21) also made the leap from junior to professional hockey via the Future Team (114 games in the Alps Hockey League) and wore the team jersey for the first time in September 2022. The defenceman established himself as a regular in the team last season, scoring his first goal in the win2day ICE Hockey League in the away game at champions Salzburg in October in addition to almost 651 minutes of time on ice. Maximilian Preiml has so far played a total of 92 competitive games (ICE and CHL) for the Red Jackets.
