The "Foxes" were Robertson's first stop in Europe: Prior to that, Robertson won the 2019 AHL Calder Cup championship title with the Charlotte Checkers. With Bolzano, the tall defender played 115 league games, scoring 18 goals and 43 assists. Last season, he showed up in the Czech Extraliga with HC Pardubice (4G|9A).

"I want to win titles, in recent years I have often been close. I wanted to play in a team that always competes for the title. I think the Red Bulls are a close-knit team that just won the championship. That kind of thing always brings a team together and I'm looking forward to being part of that team. Also because I know from many games against Salzburg with what kind of work ethic they approach the tasks. I want to help win and want to be part of a successful team," Robertson explained.
