Dominic Haberl of the EHC Lustenau has been sanctioned for discriminatory statements and gestures in the game against the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel on February 1.

After reviewing the available evidence in accordance with the disciplinary measures - Alps Hockey League Penalty Catalog Ref. No. 40 and 87 - the Legal Commission of the Alps Hockey League has suspended Dominic Haberl for five games and also imposed a fine of 2,500 euros on probation for 24 months.

The Alps Hockey League would like to emphasize that it categorically rejects any form of discriminatory actions and statements. The hockey family stands for diversity and respect in sport and we are committed to promoting and protecting these values in all our activities.
