After losing nine times in a row, Dornbirn Bulldogs hosts runner-up Moser Medical Graz 99ers. And the Bulldogs got off a perfect start when Brock Trotter stole the puck from Graz defender Robin Weihager for the early lead less than one minute played. Soon later Kevin Macierzynski doubled up for the hosts (4.). He capitalized from a turnover too. In the 16th minute the guest were about to reduce the deficit, but the referees immediately decided on non-goal, because Zintis Nauris Zusecics threw the puck into the net with his hand. Both teams became more offensive in the middle frame, but they could not score. Despite having two players more on the ice, the Bulldogs missed chances for a preliminary decision. On the other hand, Graz scored its first goal of the game, when Oliver Setzinger found the back of the net (44.). The guest were not able to level the game later and so Dornbirn secured its first win after nine consecutive losses.

The “bears” from Zagreb finally returned to the Den in Zagreb. The visitors from Innsbruck got off to a better start. On a powerplay the puck came into the slot and found Lamoureux, who deflected it past Lisutin for an early lead in the 6th minute. A powerplay ensued for Medvescak, in which the visitors had more of the game by creating two clear-cut chances. But Lisutin kept his sheet clean. The Bears leveled the score in the 12th minute through Sylvestre, who caught the rebound in the slot. Medvescak rebounded again and took the lead in the 27th minute when Zanoski deflected the puck. Innsbruck scored the equalizer in the 32nd minute through Lammers. The Sharks regained the lead early in the third period after a scramble in front of Lisutin. Spurgeon was the last to touch the puck. The Sharks held on to take the win on the road.

Despite having more of the game in the opening frame, the hosts trailed by two goals after the first 20 minutes. Salzburg opened the score with two powerplay goals, while Bozen missed about five top-class chances. Frigo reduced the deficit early in the middle frame and Campbell leveled the game for the reigning champion later. After a big mistake of “foxes” goalie Erving the guests took the lead again, when Hochkofler converted the rebound. Schiechl doubled up for Salzburg early in the last and further Salzburg took a comfortable win. The Austrian side potted four more, while Bozen was only able to score two consolidation goals.

Due to a minor injury, Csanad Erdely could not be there on ice against spusu Vienna Capitals, besides, according to the coach’s decision, Ryan Glenn and Istvan Sofron were also missing on Sunday. The first chance was for Fehervar but both Sarauer and Phillips missed then Lamoreux saved Kuralt’s shot. The game became balanced after that, until the 17th minute, when DeSousa put Schneider’s pass in the net. Fehervar used a powerplay at the end of the period, Koger passed to Daniel Szabo and the young Hungarian defenseman scored the breakaway. The second period started with Hari’s opportunity but Lamoreux saved. The Vienna defense managed to block Stipsicz’s and Tikkanen’s far shots, but Andrew Sarauer was more successful, putting his team in the lead. In the next minute, Reisz threatened and he didn’t miss. Both Kuralt and Romig had to sit in the penalty box and Fehervar was more successful four on four, Meland put the puck in the net after a breakaway. After the fourth goal against, Tschrepitsch replaced Lamoureux in the Vienna net. In the third the Caps pushed harder but the Hungarians defended well. Harty was penalized and five on four, Rotter’s shot went from a home player’s skate in the net. Vienna had chance after chance, which resulted in another goal, Holzapfel shot in the upper left corner. The game ended with more Vienna offense but Carruth made big saves.

EC-KAC – HC Orli Znojmo 2:1 (2:1, 0:0, 0:0)

Almost three weeks after suffering a 2:1 defeat in the Czech Republic, EC-KAC welcomed Znojmo on Sunday. Despite Klagenfurt getting the first shots goaldwards, the guests opened the scoring with a goal from Petr Mrazek. The hosts bounced back, though, and Adam Comrie tied it from sharp angle. Klagenfurt still had the better of the play and in the 18th minute Stefan Geier turned the game around with a backhander off a Petersen pass. The Czechs failed to score on an early second power play. Later in the period Klagenfurt missed a good one when Koch's shot went wide. Znojmo goalie Lassila had some good saves in the third and kept his team alive. In the final minutes the visitors received a late power play but Klagenfurt killed the clock for their third successive win.

EC Panaceo VSV - EHC LIWEST Black Wings Linz 4:5 (3:0, 0:3, 1:2)

Two days after coming back from a 3:0 deficit against Zagreb, Liwest Black Wings Linz did it once again in Villach. The Carinthians came out hard and Jamie Fraser scored on the first shot. The hosts continued that way, Philipp Wohlfahrt and Nico Brunner extended the lead to 3:0. After the third goal against Kickert replaced Ouzas in the Linz' net. Early in the second Kristler got the guests on the scoreboard and Michael Davies made it a one-goal game. In the final minute of the second Davies tied it at three and in the third Linz turned the game around with Davis getting the hat trick. In the final minutes Villach pulled their goalie and Rick Schofield scored an empty netter. With one minute to go Jerry Pollastrone scored Villach's fourth but it was not enough to come back again.
