Villach takes revenge
Four days after suffering a 5:1 defeat in Linz, EC Panaceo VSV took revenge in front of their crowd. Brodie Reid opened the scoring early with the Carinthians having a 3:0 lead after the first. Despite Marco Brucker getting Linz on the scoreboard, Villach controlled the game. Christof Wappis restored teh three-goal lead with his first of the season and Anton Karlsson's second of the night gave Villach a 5:1 win. Now the blue shirts are back to fifth place.

Caps get comeback win thanks to Holzapfel hat trick
The fans in Vienna saw a great derby with Znojmo leading 2:0 after only six minutes. Later in the opening period Riley Holzapfel pulled one back for the Caps. Everything went quickly after the restart: first, the Czech side added a third but then the hosts tied it with two on their own. Holzapfel's second turned the game around after 39 minutes. With both scoring one goal it was a 5:4 game in the last minutes. When Znojmo pulled their goalie Holzapfel made it safe with his third.

Dornbirn earns first home win
The west derby between Dornbirn and Innsbruck was tied at one after the opening period with Kevin Macierzynski (12') and Miha Zajc (20', pp1) scoring. The hosts were the dominant team in the middle frame, getting a 3:1 lead. In the 46th minute DEC top scorer William Rapuzzi found the back of the net a second time this game for the preliminary decision. Stefan Häußle answered Innsbruck's second goal for the 5:2 final result.

10th road win for Red Bulls
EC Red Bull Salzburg had a comfortable 2:0 lead after the first in their away game at Hydro Fehérvár AV19. Early in the second the Hungarians bounced back with scoring a brace -2:2. Both teams generated good chances and at the halfway point of the game Yannic Pilloni retook Salzburg's lead with a shorthander - it was his first Erste Bank Eishockey Liga goal. The Red Bulls extended their lead at the top of the table with two more goals in the third.

Bolzano extends winning streak
Bolzano had to fight hard for their 10th win out of the last 11 games when beating Graz 3:2 after overtime. HCB captain Anton Bernard opened the scoring on power play and in the final minute of the first Anthony Bardaro added a second. The visitors did not quit, though, and Daniel Oberkofler scored the second periods lone goal for a 2:1 score. The 99ers missed some great opportunities in the third but finally Hamilton's goal sent it into overtime. In the extra session Daly became the hero.
