Dornbirn takes first win against Vienna since 2017
After ten consecutive losses against the spusu Vienna Capitals the Dornbirn Bulldogs cheered a 4:3 road-win after shootout at the two-time champions. It was Vorarlberg side’s first win since December 16th in 2017. The Bulldogs took points for the fourth time in a row, while the Caps had to take the third consecutive home-defeat, despite having a one-goal lead twice, which was equaled by the guests each. Dornbirn’s Andrew Yogan sent the game to overtime first and decided it later in the shootout.

Salzburg returns – and wins
With new-arrival David McIntyre and both prospects Julian Lutz and Danjo Leonhardt making their debut, the EC Red Bull Salzburg snatched up a 3:1 road-win at EC GRAND Immo VSV to retake fifth spot in standings, after the eleventh season-win, while the “eagles” got their fourth home-defeat in a row. Salzburg tied a one-goal deficit in the middle frame and turned it around with two goals in the final period, as three different players scored, despite one third of the roster was out due to several reasons.
