The Dornbirn Bulldogs are about to start their tenth season in the multinational league. Head Coach Kai Suikkanen and his coaching staff have made the first personnel decisions for the new season starting on September 17th.

At the goalkeeper position, the Vorarlberg team relies on an Austrian trio: David Madlener returns to the Bulldogs after five seasons and two championship titles in Klagenfurt. He is assisted by Lukas Herzog, ex-Salzburg player who convalesced in the preseason, and young talent Felix Beck.

For the defensive end, the quarterfinalists from last season presented five newcomers: Moritz Matzka arrives from ICE rival Linz, Tyler Cuma – he already played in Graz, Vienna and Innsbruck – makes his comeback. Canadian Nick Ross has also gained a lot of experience with ICE teams (RBS, HKO, HCI) and was most recently involved with Lausitzer Füchse in DEL2. Davis Vandane, a 29-year-old Canadian, comes with strong statistics from Danish club Esbjerg Energy (12G|39A), and Finn Ari Gröndahl has nearly 400 Liiga games played.

At the forward positions, Vorarlberg side extended the contracts with Austrians Kevin Macierzynski, Stefan Häußle, Simeon Schwinger, Sam Antonitsch and Philipp Pöschmann. Latvian Nikita Jevpalovs, who scored 15 goals last year, will also remain with the Bulldogs. New on the team is Russian Pavel Padakin, who last played for HK Sochi in the KHL.
