Newcomer Milano Hockey Club have appointed Doug Shedden as head coach. The 65-year-old Canadian served as head coach of Bolzano from mid-December last season. Meanwhile, HC TIWAG Innsbruck have strengthened their roster with the signing of Justin Richards. The 28-year-old center joins the Tyrolean club from league rivals Fehérvár. In addition, the Vienna Capitals announced the contract extension of Senna Peeters.

Doug Shedden was involved in the win2day ICE Hockey League for the first time last season. From mid-December, the Canadian coached HCB Südtirol Alperia, who were eliminated by Ljubljana in the quarterfinals. The 65-year-old will now become the first head coach of new league member Milano Hockey Club. Shedden has signed a contract for the upcoming season with the Lombardy-based club.

Justin Richards strengthens Innsbruck
The US forward Justin Richards will be part of HC TIWAG Innsbruck’s roster in the upcoming season. Richards played for league rivals Fehérvár last season. The 28-year-old spent most of his post-college career in the American Hockey League (AHL), and also made three NHL appearances for the New York Rangers (1×) and the Columbus Blue Jackets (2×). In 2024, he moved to Europe to join Düsseldorfer EG, before transferring to Fehérvár the following year.

Senna Peeters remains with the Capitals
The Vienna Capitals and forward Senna Peeters have extended their cooperation. The 23-year-old, who joined Vienna from EC-KAC last year, has signed a one-year contract extension. Peeters’ first season in a Capitals jersey was affected by two long-term injuries, limiting him to just nine official games.
