The two finalists of the Alps Hockey League are two wins each away from the title. On Tuesday, the battle for capturing the first match puck for the championship title between HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice and S.G. Cortina Hafro will take place in Jesenice. In each of the first four games, the home team prevailed.

The final series in the Alps Hockey League could hardly be more exciting. HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice went ahead in the best-of-seven series. Cortina promptly equalized in its two home games. Now the final games for the title will go to Slovenia for the third time. In the previous games in front of the home crowd, the dominator of the first phase of the season presented itself in a commanding manner, winning 4:2 and 5:2 respectively. Zan Jezovsek in particular was unstoppable in the two home games. The 25-year-old Slovenian striker scored five times in the final in front of his home crowd.
