No Erste Bank Eishockey League-games will be played during the International Break from November 5th 2018 until November 12th 2018.

Part 1 of the regular season includes 44 rounds or 264 games and will be played between September 14th 2018 and February 03rd 2019. The Top 6 after 44 rounds will already be qualified for the Playoffs. After round 44, the Top 6 will be in a fight for the Pick- & home-right for the Playoffs in the Pick Round, while the clubs placed 7 to 12 will play in the Qualification Round for the last two Play-off tickets. Besides, the winner of part 1 of the regular season earns a Champions Hockey League ticket for 2019/20.

New rule: In the case two teams will have the same number of points after the Pick- or Qualification Round, the better placed club after part 1 of the regular season will be better ranked.
