EC-KAC extends with coaching staff

The EC-KAC has agreed to terms with all members of the 20-21 coaching staff, as Petri Matikainen, Juha Vuori, Andrej Hočevar and Leo Kraus will continue with Klagenfurt for another bet-at-home ICE season.

Petri Matikainen enters his fourth season as head coach of the "Rotjacken". The 54-year-old Finn, who also played as for Klagenfurt between 1997 and 1999, returned to the club in the summer of 2018 and has since led his team to two titles. Klagenfurt won 113 of his 179 league games under his charge.

Juha Vuori moved to Klagenfurt last summer. In addition to his role as assistant coach, where he is largely responsible for the tactical development of the team, he also ensures the training and development of coaches in the club's junior department.

Andrej Hočevar was promoted to the professional ranks last summer after a successful one-year stint with the KAC junior team The Slovenian is responsible for the development of the goalkeepers in the first team, the farm team and the U18 squad. In the first team, Hočevar also takes on numerous tasks relating to digital game and training analysis in cooperation with Juha Vuori.

In the spring of 2020, Leo Kraus took over the on-site representation of Allout Performance in Klagenfurt, the company that has been responsible for the physical development of the first team's players at EC-KAC since 2016. The German develops the training planning and is also responsible for the implementation of these concepts in the daily training operations.
