EC-KAC hosts EHC Biel-Bienne in CHL

As the leader of group A after four games played in Champions Hockey League, the EC-KAC takes on EHC Biel-Bienne on Wednesday. With current MVP of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga Peter Schneider and Stefan Ulmer, the Swiss side has two Austrian players on the roster. EHC Biel-Bienne has also nine points on the side and battles for the last sixteen in CHL too.

After four gamedays passed by in the Champions Hockey League, the EC-KAC has three wins respectively nine points on the side and tops group A. To get promoted to the last sixteen after the nex two gamedays in the group stage, the “Rotjacken” need ether four points out of the next two games against EHC Biel-Bienne or maximum two points less than Tampere, which plays Asker twice, catches in the coming two games.

Klagenfurt’s coming opponent EHC Biel-Bienne also has nine points on the side, as they defeated Asker twice and snatched up one win against Tappara Tampere. With any point loss of Tampere, the Swiss side steps closer to the last sixteen in Champions Hockey League.
Niki Kraus and Steven Strong are unchanged out due to injury reasons. Manuel Ganahl, who is back on the team for practicing, is expected to miss the game too. Lars Haugen will be the starting goalie on Wednesday.
