After Lukas Haudum took a penalty twice in the first minutes, he later opened the scoring. Klagenfurt had the better of the game - and with Sebastian Dahm a strong goalie too. With 39 saves he kept his sheet clean. The decision in favor of the “Rotjacken” was made at the beginning of the final period: Matt Fraser (42.) and Rok Ticar (46.) put the Austrian side up 3:0. Fraser scored one more later in the game.
