EKZ cooperates with VSV and extends contract with assistant coach

The EK Die Zeller Eisbären and the EC Panaceo VSV are working together from the upcoming season. In addition the polar bears has also announced that assistant coach Peter Dilsky will be on the sideline next season again. Contract extensions were announced in Kitzbühel and Val Gardena. Furthermore the squad of EC KAC II is almost complete.

EKZ and VSV are cooperating from the upcoming season
After many discussions between the responsible persons of the two associations a cooperation was agreed last week. The goal of the future collaboration is clear, both teams want to develop young players and introduce them to higher tasks. 

"We are very proud to enter into such an appreciative cooperation with such a traditional club as the Villacher SV. This will also be the future of the ECC, in which we want to develop ourselves with strong partners to our side! I am convinced that both teams will benefit from the cooperation", Eisbären chairman Manfred Pfeiffenberger said.

Gerald Rauchenwald, sports director of the EC PANACEO VSV, is pleased about the cooperation between the VSV and the Zeller Eisbären: "We see the Zeller Eisbären as a perfect partner at eye level. We have a classic win-win-win situation where EKZ, VSV and the players benefit. Zell am See receives motivated players with potential and perspective. Our talents get the chance to gain match practice and experience, to take responsibility, to improve and to recommend for higher tasks."

In addition EKZ has also announced that assistant coach Peter Dilsky will be on the sideline again next season . „Peter was very impressed by the new team and the philosophy we want to pursue over the following years, so I am very happy that he will be available as an assistant coach in the upcoming season,“ sports manager Philip Wurzer said.

Ebner extends his contract in Kitzbühel
The 23-year-old defender Mario Ebner will play for the EC ‚Die Adler‘ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel in the upcoming season again. It is already the third season in which the Innsbrucker will play for Kitzbühel. "I am looking forward to returning to my second home and I am convinced that as a team we will take the next step forward and play attractive ice hockey for our fans", Ebner is looking forward to the upcoming season.

Two contract extensions in Val Gardena
Two further contract extensions have been announced by HC Gherdeina valgardena.it. The two players Samuel Moroder and Patrick Nocker are active in Val Gardena since their youth and will play at their home club for at least one further season. Forward Moroder scored 5 goals in 39 games in the past season. Defender Nocker also played in 39 games last season.

EC KAC II squad almost complete
Head coach of EC KAC II remains Kirk Furey who can now rely on an assistant coach with Nate DiCasmirro. The long-time professional ended his active career this spring. No longer part of the team are Philipp Cirtek and Tommaso Topatigh. Luca Rodiga, who wants to concentrate on his studies, is also no longer available. The duo Jakob Holzer and Florian Vorauer who both played a strong second half of the season 2018/19 form the goaltender team again. In the defense the contracts were extended with Kele Steffler and Niklas Würschl. U20 defender Thomas Patterer remains with the club too. 

On the offensive end captain Markus Pirmann will reamain in the team as well as the twin brothers Simon and Valentin Hammerle, who belong to the squad since the AHL founding. The same applies to U20 national player Valentin Ploner.
