EKZ hires Maks Selan | Soudek extends his contract with VEU

EK ‚Die Zeller‘ Eisbären have announced the signing of slovenian national team player Maks Selan. The 30-year-old last played in Chamonix. New signings were also announced by VEU Feldkirch, EC ‚Die Adler‘ Kitzbühel, and the Fassa Falcons. On top of this goalscorer Robin Soudek extended his contract with VEU.

EKZ hire slovenian defender Maks Selan

Slovenian national team player Maks Selan will play for EK ‚Die Zeller‘ Eisbären next season. The 30-year-old defender played 19 games for Hockey Milano Rossoblu last season in the AHL before joining the French club Chamonix. Selan on his new assignment in Zell am See: "I'm really looking forward to my time in Zell am See! I chose the polar bears because they have a clear vision that I can identify with very well. On top of that the Slovenian coach Jaka Avgustincic and my longtime friend Jure Sotlar also signed in Pinzgau. My goals with the team are to reach the playoffs.“ 

Robin Soudek stays with VEU Feldkirch 
The 27-year-old Robin Soudek was topscorer of the VEU Feldkirch last season. The striker scored 60 points (32 goals, 28 assists) in 37 games last season. Together with Dylan Stanley and Christian Jennes the trio formed one of the league's best offensive trios. Two junior cracks will also join the VEU AHL squad for the upcoming season. 1️8-year-old forward Dominik Unterweger, who played in the U20 of the ZSC Lions last season will come to Feldkirch for a tryout. 1️6-year-old Yannik Lebeda, who previously played in the U17 of the ZSC Lions will be included in the extended squad.

Kitzbüheler EC signed Lasse Uusivirta

The EC ‚Die Adler‘ Kitzbühel signed 29-year-old defender Lasse Uusivirta from German third league club Füchse Duisburg. The Finn will be the last import player for the upcoming season. EC-Headcoach Charles Franzen about the new signing: "Lasse is a very good defender. He will be very important to us both for the powerplay and the penalty killing."

Lasse Uusivirta is looking forward to his time in Kitzbühel: "I am very happy to have signed with the Kitzbüheler EC. I heard good things about the organization and of course the beautiful city of Kitzbühel. These factors made it easy for me to choose my next home in Kitzbühel. I'm going to bring in a lot of hard work and experience for the team and I expect to make it to the playoffs and extend the season as long as possible."

New player for Fassa

The Fassa Falcons have presented a new player. 28-year-old Swede Linus Lundström moves from league rival HC Gherdeina to Fassa. For Gherdeina the right wing has been active for the past two years. In a total of 44 games Lundström scored 56 points (23 goals, 33 assists).
