HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice has presented with the defensemen Jesse Jyrkkiö (FIN) and Doug Rose (USA/Try Out) their first new imports for the upcoming season. Forward Diego „El Diablo“ Iori returns to his home-club HC Fassa Falcons and defenseman Hannes Oberrauch arrives from Neumarkt. HC Pustertal Wolves completed their roster with US-defender Cody Corbett and EC Bregenzerwald added two youngsters to their roster. Plus: Some contract extensions in Asiago and Fassa.
Pustertal has completed their roster with US-defenseman Cody Corbett
US-American Cody Corbett is the last addition for the roster of HC Pustertal wolves for the upcoming season. The 24-year old defender started his europe-career with HC Orli Znojmo in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga 2018, scoring four points (2G/2A) out of 12 matches. Prior, the big, strong and offensiv minded defenseman has already appeared in 93 American Hockey League-games, in which he scored 25 points, and in 114 games in the East Cost Hockey League scoring 63 points.
„El Diablo“ returns to Fassa, Oberrauch arrives from Neumarkt
Power-Forward Diego „El Diablo“ Iori returns after four years playing in Asiago, Gherdeina and Cortina to his home-club HC Fassa Falcons.The 32-year old Italian, who is known as a hard working winger and excels on Penalty Killing, started his hockey-career in Fassa and has already been Captain of the team for two seasons (2010 – 2012) as well. Last season, Ioro had 20 points (8G/12A) out of 37 Alps Hockey League-games for Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro. Prior, Iori has already been a key-player for HC Gherdeina valgardena.it in the Alps Hockey League 2016/17.
Besides, Defenseman Hannes Oberrauch went from Neumarkt to Fassa. The 20-year old Italian already played in 67 Alps Hockey League-games for the wild-geese during the past two seasons.
Fassa extended the contract with youngster Sebastiano Soracrappa too: The 18-year old allrounder - Soracrappa can play defenseman or forward - had seven points (2G/5A) out of 37 games 2017/18. And the young forwards Davide Schiavone and Massimo Zanet will go for goals and points for the "Falcons" 2018/19 as well.
Magnabosco and Dal Sasso stay in Asiago
The youngsters Davide Dal Sasso and Marco Magnabosco will go for goals and points for Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 in the upcoming season as well. Each forward has started his hockey-career in Asiago and has convinced in the Championship Winning season 2017/18. 22-year old Magnabosco had 29 points (8G/21A) out of 49 Alps Hockey League games. 21-year old Dal Sasso scored 16 points out of 54 matches.
Jesenice has presented their first new imports
After defending for top-clubs in his home-country Finland, Austria, Sweden, Hungary, France and Denmark, 29-year old Jesse Jyrkkiö will add much experience to the team of HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice in the upcoming season. The Fin is an offensive defenseman with good skating ability. Besides, he excels on the Power Play with his vision and shot. Jyrkkiö defended for three clubs - Fehervar AV19 (HUN) in the Erste Bank Eishockey League, Mulhouse in France and the Gentofte Stars in Denmark past season, scoring twelve points (1G/11A, PIM: 85) out of 37 games in total.
Besides, the Slovenian Champion has signed US-American Doug Rose on a Try Out. The 24-year old defenseman will start his europe-career in Slovenia 2018/19 after spending four years with the Neumann University in the NCAA III, scoring 54 points (20G/34A) out of 101 games and playing five games for Macon Mayhem in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) 2017/18 too...
Two youngsters for the „Wälder“
EC Bregenzerwald has added with Austrian Jonas Kutzer another youngster to their roster. The 17-year old forward went for goals and points for the youth teams of SC Rheintal in Switzerland during the past four years. Last season, Kutzer played 13 games for SCR's U17 team in the Top Novizen and scored seven points (2G/5A). Besides, power-forward Dominic Haberl continues playing for the west-club in the 2018/19-season too. The 22-year old Austrian had five points (1G/4A) out of 19 Alps Hockey League-games past season. Furthermore, Haberl will start into his third year with the Dornbirn Bulldogs in the Erste Bank Eishockey League. Haberl has already played 112 games in Austrias highest League, scoring six points (3G/3A). 2015, Haberl was Inter National League Champion with EHC Alge Elastic“ Lustenau.
