HC Migross Asiago have announced the signing of forward Ethan Szypula. The Canadian, who was named league MVP in 2025, moves to Italy from Zell am See. Meanwhile, Merano have bolstered their offense with Franco Sproviero.

HC Migross Asiago
Ethan Szypula transfers from Zell am See to Asiago, entering his fourth season in the Alps Hockey League. The center signed with Ritten in the summer of 2023, where he set a new league record with 103 points in his second year and was named MVP. In Zell am See, the 29-year-old initially missed several games due to injury and finished with 34 points in 28 appearances.

HC Meran/o Pircher
Merano have added Franco Sproviero to their roster. The 27-year-old Canadian with Italian roots arrives from the Wipptal Broncos, where he recorded 51 points last season. Prior to that, the forward impressed in North America, including stints in the OHL and USports, earning multiple accolades. In Merano, the skilled attacker is expected to provide additional scoring threat.

Sterzing will continue to rely on Davide Conci. Since joining in the 2022/23 season, the 29-year-old forward has been one of the Broncos’ most consistent performers, posting strong scoring numbers over two seasons and excelling particularly in the 2024 playoffs. After a brief stint in the win2day ICE Hockey League, Conci returned and has since surpassed the 100-point mark for the Broncos.

Another homegrown Ritten player has extended his contract: David Tauferer will remain on defense for Rittner Buam SkyAlps in the 2026/27 season. The 21-year-old appeared in 44 games last season, recording three assists.

KHL Sisak
Sisak have signed 20-year-old Croatian youth international Bruno Zovko. The forward previously played for KHL Zagreb and is now set for his first move to a new club.
