Fans Voted for the 2024/25 Team of the Season

Fans of the win2day ICE Hockey League were invited to nominate their Team of the Season 2024/25 via the league’s social media channels. In the end, three players each from champion EC Red Bull Salzburg and surprise team Steinbach Black Wings Linz, as well as one player from runner-up EC-KAC, made it into the final line-up.

Atte Tolvanen | Goalie | EC Red Bull Salzburg
The Playoff MVP was chosen by an overwhelming majority as Goalie of the Season. With a save percentage of 93%, he was also the most successful goaltender of the 2024/25 season.

Ryan Murphy | Defender | EC Red Bull Salzburg
The EC Red Bull Salzburg defenseman made the Team of the Season for the second year in a row. Murphy racked up an incredible 50 points during the 2024/25 season – making him not only the top-scoring defenseman, but also placing him 13th in the overall scoring rankings across all players.

Logan Roe | Defender | Steinbach Black Wings Linz
With 46 points, Logan Roe was the second-highest-scoring defenseman behind Ryan Murphy. He ranked 18th in the league-wide scoring list and, with 10 goals, set the season's goal-scoring record among all defenders.

Peter Schneider | Forward | EC Red Bull Salzburg
With 62 points, Peter Schneider was the top scorer of the 2024/25 season. He also led the scoring charts in the playoffs with 17 points. Together with teammate Benjamin Nissner, Schneider topped the playoffs plus/minus statistics (+12).

Nick Petersen | Forward | EC-KAC
Just one point behind Peter Schneider, Nick Petersen was the second-best scorer of the season. He makes the Team of the Season for the second consecutive year and is this season’s only representative from runners-up EC-KAC.

Shawn St-Amant | Forward | Steinbach Black Wings Linz
Shawn St-Amant received the most votes of all forwards in the Team of the Season poll. The Linz forward especially stood out in crunch time: with a point-scoring streak of 13 consecutive games, he set the season record. St-Amant also scored the second-most goals in the league, behind Brian Lebler.

Phil Lukas | Head Coach | Steinbach Black Wings Linz
Phil Lukas was voted Coach of the Year by a wide margin. His Black Wings team impressed not only in the regular season but also shone in the playoffs – especially with their strong comeback performances.
