Fehervar AV19 has signed Canadian scorer Zack Phillips. The 25-year old offensiv-player has been drafted by the NHL-club Minnesota Wild in the first round in the year 2011. Plus: Transfer news from both Carinthian clubs.

Canadian Zack Phillips will go for goals and points for Fehervar AV19 in the upcoming season. The 25-year old forward has already played for Tingsryds AIF (2016/17) and the Nottingham Panthers (2017/18) in Europe. The offensiv-allrounder has played 60 games for the „Panthers“ in the EIHL 2017/18 and he has scored 48 points (17G/41A). 2011, Phillips has been drafted by the NHL-club Minnesota Wild in the first round. Phillips is known as a reliable scorer. From 2012 until 2016, Phillips went for goals and points for different clubs in the American Hockey League and he had 101 points out of 267 games during that span. Phillips can play as a Center or winger. 
 
The youngsters Michael Kernberger, Ramón Schnetzer, Kele Steffler, Dennis Sticha, Philipp Kreuzer and Marcel Witting (he returns from Feldkirch to Klagenfurt) will play for EC-KAC in the upcoming season. Kernberger, Schnetzer and Steffler are defensemen, Sticha, Kreuzer and Witting are forwards. All six Austrians will get the chance to play for the second team in the Alps Hockey League 2018/19 as well.
 
EC VSV has signed Canadian goal-scorer Blaine Down. The 35-year old forward has played in the DEL during the last six years. Blaine Down had 30 points (11G/19A) out of 51 games for the Iserlohn Roosters last season. Besides, he has already played overseas, in Italy, Denmark and in Switzerland. Defenseman Jamie Fraser went from the Vienna Capitals to EC VSV as well. The Canadian has spent the last six seasons in the Austrian Capital and he has won the title with the Caps 2017.
