In the 32nd round of Erste Bank Eishockey Liga Fehervar AV19 overcame leader spusu Vienna Capitals and equaled its personal straight winning record. While Moser Medical Graz99ers celebrated its highest victory in EBEL history, the EC-KAC decided a low scoring Carinthian derby 1:0. EC Red Bull Salzburg quit its losing streak. HC Orli Znojmo and HC TWK Innsbruck “Die Haie” booked important wins for reaching the pick round.

Fehervar AV19 extended its winning streak to seven, after beating leader spusu Vienna Capitlas 5:2. With its seventh consecutive win the Hungarians equaled its winning record back in 2015. After a non-goal opening frame, the hosts had the better of the play in the second and Kuralt and Sille lit the lamp for a two-goal lead after 40 minutes. Erdely and Sarauer increased Fehervar’s lead in the first seven minutes of the last and made the preliminary decision for the home team. After the Viennese pulled two back, Sarauer rounded off the score with an empty netter

The Moser Medical Graz99ers celebrated at KHL Medvescak Zagreb its highest victory in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga history. The guests get a clear 9:0 road win against the bottom placed team and halved its deficit in standings being only three points behind leader Vienna. After dominating the first frame 4:0, the Austrian side got four more in the second and rounded off the clear result with another goal in the last.

For the second time this season the EC-KAC booked a derby win. After winning 1:0 against EC Panaceo VSV, Klagenfurt got its sixth consecutive derby home win. Mitch Wahl’s powerplay goal about halfway of the game brought the red side on winning ways. KAC’s netminder Lars Haugen had his first shutout this season.

After a 4:2 home win against reigning champion HCB Südtirol Alperia, EC Red Bull Salzburg’s losing streak came to an end. The first win after four consecutive losses gave the semifinalist of the Champions Hockey League the fourth place in standings, while Bolzano dropped to fifth. Salzburg generated good chances from the first minute on and benefited on its first powerplay with Brent Harris opening the scoring. After the first intermission Mario Huber doubled up for the Austrian side again on powerplay. Then Anton Bernard pulled one back for the guest. Dominique Heinrich restored the two-goal lead six minutes to go in the last and made the game save.

HC TWK Innsbruck “Die Haie” got its first derby win this season. The Tirolese beat Dornbirn Bulldogs 5:1 and reduced their deficit to the sixth place in standings. Dornbirn lost for the first time, after four consecutive victories. Not even one minute into the game John Lammers opened the scoring for the hosts, who had the better of the play right from the beginning. Andrew Yogan and Ondrej Sedivy made the lead more comfortable in the first seven minutes of the second period. After Brock Trotter pulled one back, Mario Lamoureux’ brace decided the game for the hosts.

HC Orli Znojmo celebrated an important 6:2 road win at EHC Liwest Black Wings Linz. So the Czech side stays in touch to sixth place. After Allen McPherson opened the scoring for the guests, the hosts turned the game. Moritz Matzka in the first and Kevin Kapstad in the second gave the Austrian side a 2:1 lead. But the guests tied it not even half a minute later and goals of Marek Kalus and Anthony Luciani got Znojmo on winning ways. The “red eagles” scored two more to get a comfortable road win.
