KHL Medveščak Zagreb and Fehervar AV19 go a long way back. From days of Interliga, to Erste Bank Eishockey Liga, Croatian Bears and Hungarian Devils are true rivals. After recent big victory for Medveščak in Szekesfehervar (0:4), Fehervar AV19 changed the coach and shook the team up. And it paid off. In the second minute of the game Canadian in Hungarian jersey Olivier Latendresse scored unassisted for 0:1 and a shock in Zagreb. Poulin blocked the shot from an awkward angle by Gilbert, Lovecchio was blocking Poulin's movement and Latendresse stole the puck from "Gretzky" office and scored into the closer corner of the net for 0:1. Reisz and Latendresse "cooked" up the goal #2 for the guests with 9 minutes played: Even though Medveščak were pressuring hard, MacMillian was firm and denied all the shots. Reisz went on a breakaway, Latendresse followed and goalscorer Luttinen was the third part of 3-on-2 breakaway. A tic-tac-toe and Luttinen just had to deflect the puck in the empty net. Two minutes later, Medveščak managed to convert on powerplay. Despite the bears having reputation as the worst PP team in the league they did score. Brett Palin was out, Morley and Mahbod made the Hungarians panic in their zone and Mahbod dangled his was to a wrister from the slot for 1-2.  The equalizer came in the 18th minute when again Mahbod - Morley and Olden scored a great combination for 2-2. Morley snapped a wrister from the top of the circle, near the boards and Olden deflected one for Morley's second point of the night and Olden's first goal. Over fourty minutes later the ref blew the final whistle for no goals were scored and we went to OT. Second and third period remained scoreless, MacMillian stood firm and had nearly 40 saves in one of his best shows on the ice.  As many thought to go to shootout, Musič, Uotila and Luttinen decided to end the game in Overtime. When you don't score, you get scored on and Fehervar AV19 again managed to take points from Medveščak with a 3:2 win in the Overtime, just as the Devils did in game 1.
