Hydro Fehérvár AV19 took a defeat on the third CHL gameday too, as the Hungarians lost to Champions Hockey League defending champion Rögle Ängelholm clearly with 1-7. In contrast to the first leg less than a week ago in Székesfehérvár, when the ICE vice-champion stood up to the Swedish top club over the full distance, only losing 1:2 late on, Rögle was in great shape this evening: After twelve minutes, the home side was 3-0 ahead. Andrew Sarauer did get the Hungarians on the scoreboard in the 16th minute, but that was all they could manage against the superior Swedes, who directed more than twice as many shots on goal (69:32).

Rögle Ängelholm – Hydro Fehérvár AV19 7:1 (3:1, 2:0, 2:0)

Goal AVS: Sarauer (16.)

HK SZ Olimpija suffered a defeat too. In the first Champions Hockey League game ever played in Slovenia, the "Dragons" were defeated by TPS Turku with 4-2. However, the evening started well from the point of view of the ICE team, Aleksandar Magovac provided an early lead in the 5th minute after a deflection. Still in the first period the Slovenians had to accept the equalizer - in the second period they conceded three goals. A powerplay goal by Lukas Kalan (41./PP1) at the beginning of the last frame gave hope for a short time, but the turnaround was not achieved. It was also the third defeat in the third group game for Mitja Sivic's team.

HK SZ Olimpija – TPS Turku 2:4 (1:1, 0:3, 1:0)
Goals HKO: Magovac (5.), Kalan (41./PP1)
