After the sweep against Pustertal, Hydro Fehérvár AV19 lost for the first time in the playoffs on Thursday. The Hungarians conceded a 2:3 defeat after overtime at the EC GRAND Immo VSV in their semifinal opener. The guests were already leading with 2:0 after just 141 second. The home team from Carinthia, who had to play a decisive game seven against Ljubljana in the quarterfinals, got better and better into the game and managed to keep the match even thanks to great saves by Tomi Karhunen. The Finn was named win2day top performer of the first semifinal matchday due to his strong performance. For Villach it was the second win in the fifth duel of the season with Fehérvár. They celebrated both victories in front of their home crowd. In Székesfehérvár, the "Eagles" have not yet been able to win.
