The Swede, who was already on Hungarians short list in the summer, has not yet been involved with any club this season. In the past campaign, he played for the Dornbirn Bulldogs and recorded a goal against average of 2.64 in 37 appearances.

"When Arttu Lipsanen (goalie coach of AVS) called me, I immediately said yes. Henrik Nilsson told me only good things about the club, fans and city. I will do my best on and off the ice to make the team better and achieve our common goals," says the 29-year-old. For the Hungarians, on the one hand, his size and last year's league experience were decisive for the cooperation, which is now defined to initially one month.

"With Rasmus Tirronen out for weeks due to injury, we needed another goalkeeper besides Daniel Kornakker who can play at this level. Our young goalkeepers, Dominik Horvath and Martin Szeles have other commitments with the national team and Titánok, so we were looking for a new goalkeeper outside the club. We know Oskar Östlund from last year, he had really good statistics, so we signed him", states General Manager Vikor Szelig.
