Fehérvár without a chance against the KAC

The EC-KAC won the second duel of the season against Hydro Fehérvár AV19 with 5:0 and are now third in the league table with 16 points. Fehérvár, for which it was the first defeat after four victories in a row, follows in fourth place with 14 points.

After a clear 4:1 away win at Hydro Fehérvár AV19 on October 2nd, the EC-KAC also prevailed in the second duel of the season with the Hungarians, this time clearly with 5:0. KAC goalkeeper Sebastian Dahm saved all 33 shots on his goal. It was the first Shutout for the Dane in the jersey of Klagenfurt. The red jackets were the leading team from the beginning.

The goal festival of the KAC started in the sixth minute of the game. The Slovenian Rok Ticar scored the 1:0. The second goal of the game followed in minute 16. The Austrian record champion was also in the second period the better team. Daniel Obersteiner scored the 3:0 with a wraparound in in the 23rd minute of play. After this goal the game was over for Fehérvár goalkeeper Daniel Kornakker. His save percentage was 78.6%. He was replaced by the Slovakian Jaroslav Janus. For the 31-year-old it was the first assignment for AVS. He was recently signed on and given a contract for one month. All information about the deal can be found here. 

Subsequently, the guests tried everything once again, but they were not able to score a goal. Three minutes before the end of the second period the KAC scored again, through defender Thomas Vallant. With the score of 4:0 the game went in the last period.

Both teams neutralized each other most of the period. But the KAC scored one goal in the powerplay thanks to Lukas Haudum. It was the second goal of the evening for the Austrian striker. For the Carinthians it was the fifth victory in the ninth game of the season. With 16 points, the KAC is now in third place in the league table. The Klagenfurt team has also overtaken Fehérvár in the league table by this victory. The Hungarians follow in fourth place with 14 points.
