Big win for Young Bulls against Asiago
The Red Bull Hockey Juniors celebrated a hard-fought and surprising 2:1 home victory against Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey. It was the first win for the Salzburg team after two defeats in a row before. Asiago lost for the first time after three wins in a row. The Italians had a dream start. Stefano Giliati put the second-placed team in the lead after just 43 seconds. But RBJ's answer was not long in coming. Maxim Mastic equalized in the sixth minute with his first goal for the Young Bulls. Nothing happened for a long time before 17-year-old Daniel Assavolyuk scored the game-winner for the home side in the 49th minute. RBJ moved up to sixth place in the table and would have qualified for the Master Round.

Ritten turns the game around in Linz
The Rittner Buam won with 4:2 against the Steel Wings Linz and got the expected victory. However the home team from Upper Austria had a perfect start. They were already leading 2:0 after eight and a half minutes, but in the middle period the guests turned up the heat and were able to turn the game around completely. The turnaround was initiated by Kevin Fink with a shorthanded goal (24.). While it was the first win for the Buam, who are in third place in the standings, after three defeats in a row before, the Steel Wings conceded their fourth defeat in a row, the second within 24 hours.

Injuries in Zell am See
The EK Die Zeller Eisbären will have to do without captain Hubert Berger, Jürgen Tschernutter and Thomas Grabmayr for a long time. Berger tore his inner ligament in the last game and will miss at least six weeks. Tschernutter suffered a slipped disc and will be out indefinitely. Grabmayr suffered a shoulder injury in the training and will not be able to play again this season.
