Feldkirch faces Bregenzerwald in the derby

Derby time in Vorarlberg! On Saturday, in Alps Hockey League's lone game of the week the VEU Feldkirch faces the EC Bregenzerwald. The home team from Feldkirch won all four games against Bregenzerwald last season and is favorite in the first duel this season as well. The VEU currently occupies the tenth place in the league table, the ECB is in 17th place.

Both the VEU Feldkirch and the EC Bregenzerwald go with a sense of achievement in the upcoming derby. While Feldkirch last won against the S.G. Cortina Hafro with 2:0, Bregenzerwald won against the EC-KAC II with 5:4. From the past seven games the VEU won five. In front of their home crowd they have each celebrated a victory in the last three games. Feldkirch is in tenth place in the league table. The gap to the important sixth place, however, is only three points. The victory of Bregenzerwald against the KA2 was the first win after three defeats in a row. All four victories of the ECB this season were at home. Bregenzerwald has been without an away victory in AHL since the 14th of February. They lost the last eight consecutive games.

In the direct duel with Feldkirch, the guests could not win a single game in the Alps Hockey League on the road. Last season, the VEU grabbed all four games against Bregenzerwald. With Dylan Stanley and Robin Soudek Feldkirch has the two top scorer in their squad. With 27 points (10 G / 17A), the Canadian Stanley is the leader of the ranking followed by the Czech Soudek, who scored 26 points (12G / 14A).
