Feldkirch outclassed Lustenau in the derby

In Saturday’s only Alps Hockey League game, the VEU Feldkirch declassed EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau in the Vorarlberg Derby. The hosts celebrated a clear 6:1 win in front of more than 4.400 spectators. Robin Soudek had four goals in VEU’s 10th win this season.

The hosts took over control right from the beginning of the game. Their top-scorer Robin Soudek opened the score after only 12 seconds and he doubled up not even 3,5 minutes played. Despite three powerplays and more shots on goal, Lustenau was not able to reduce the deficit in the first. The hosts were the dominated team in the middle frame too, while adding three more goals for the preliminary decision. Christoph Draschkowitz’s interim 4:0 was out of a shorthanded situation. Soudek added two more for Feldkirch to gave them a 6:0 lead after about 45 minutes. Christopher D’Alvise made the consolidation goal for Lustenau 7,5 minutes to go.
