Feldkirch with big step towards playoffs

The FBI VEU Feldkirch won in the only game on Tuesday against the Sterzing Broncos with 5:3. With that win Feldkirch made a big step toward the playoffs and captured a 13 points advantage to the ninths place.

The game started on an even level with chances on both sides. The scoring was opened by Steven Birnstill in powerplay in the eights minute. Sterzing increased pressure and pushed for the equalizer. Just ten seconds before the end of the first period Ivan Deluca succeeded with the tie. Also in the second period both teams played on an even level. Feldkirch did a better job in converting the chances and took the lead by a goal of Daniel Fekete. In the third period Feldkirch stil pressured and Dylan Stanley increased to 3:1 in the starting minutes. Sterzing didn’t manage to convert the chances. When playing in powerplay they even had to take the 1:4 of Mairitsch. But Sterzing didn’t give up and tried to come back into the game. Jure Sotlar narrowed the gap to 2:4 in the 50ths minute and Denny Deanesi even scored the 3:4 three minutes later. When pushing for the equalizer Diethard Winzig found the decision for Feldkirch in 55th minute.
