Final 4 in Austria and Italy
The Austrian and the Italian Final 4 is on the schedule during this week. Red Bull Hockey Juniors, VEU Feldkirch, EC Bregenzerwald and EHC „Alge Elastic“ Lustenau have qualified for the round of 4 in Austria. RBJ and VEU will face each other in the first semifinal and the two Vorarlberger clubs - ECB and EHC - will meet each other  in the other semifinals. The first leg is done in Salzburg (19:15) and in Dornbirn (19:30) on Tuesday, the re-matches will follow on Thursday. The semifinal-winners step up to the finals, which are played „back-to-back“ this weekend (Sat, Sun). The winner is named AUT Champion of the Alps Hockey League.
Lustenau is leading in the season-contest with the „Wälder“ (2:1). But, watch out: ECB has been successful in the last Vorarlberg-derby in Lustenau just four days ago. Furthermore, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors have won both season-meetings with the VEU Feldkirch so far.
In Italy, the semifinals are played between Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan and the Rittner Buam and between Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 and HC Pustertal Wolves. The first leg is done in Sterzing (20:00) and in Asiago (20:30) on Tuesday, the re-matches will follow on Thursday. The semifinal-winners step up to the finals, which are played back-to back this weekend (Sat, Sun). The winner is named Italian Champion of the Alps Hockey League. Bruneck has left the ice as the winner in both season-meetings with the „Yellow-Reds“ so far. And it’s 1:1 between Sterzing and Klobenstein. Each club has won his home-game in the first two season-clashes.
