  • The standings in the "Best of 7" series in the final of the Alps Hockey League 18/19 is 1:1 after the first two games. Thus, it is clear that in the next two meetings in Ljubljana definitely no decision for the championship will fall. The first two finals in Bruneck could not have been more contrary. While final one was a 3:0 win for the Pustertal wolves with a shutout by Colin Furlong, the South Tyroleans conceded seven goals in the second game just one day later. Ljubljana won at the end with 7: 2.
  • Final one was marked by the discipline of the wolves. They did not have to accept a single punishment. By comparison, Ljubljana was outnumbered seven times. In the offensive Pustertal was also much callous than the Slovenes, wherefore the victory of the South Tyrolean turned out clearly.
  • The opening phase of the second game was similar. Up to minute six in the second period the defensive of the wolves was stable. But then Teemu Virtala took the first penalty for Pustertal in the final and the Slovenes were successful promptly. This goal was the sticking point in the game. In the next 70 seconds Ljubljana shot another two goals which decided the game.
  • After two away games Olimpija has their first two home games in the series. The Slovenes have only beaten three times this season at home, once against the final opponent Pustertal. In the playoffs HKO is even without a home defeat. With Pustertal, however, a very strong away team comes to Slovenia. The wolves have conceded only two failures away this season, one of them in the playoffs, also in Slovenia against Jesenice.
  • For the third time in history a champion in the Alps Hockey League will be ascertained. After game two in the final series there was always a 1:1 in the standings oft he „Best-of-7“-series.  2016/17 between Ritten and Assiago, as well as 2017/18 in the new edition of this final. In the end, both teams could secure the title once. This season definitely a new team will register as champion in the history books of the AHL.
