Referees: HLAVATY, HOLZER, Puff, Weiss | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<
Standings in the "best-of-five" series: 2:2

Everything was set for Jesenice when the Slovenians took a 2:1 lead in the 21st minute at home in front of almost 4,000 fans on Saturday and the chance to win the first AHL title in the club's history was within reach. But Asiago fought back, turned the match around and tied the final series with a 4:2 away win. The title race will now be decided in Asiago on Tuesday.

Jesenice had to play a game 5 against Gherdeina in the quarterfinals, the Steelers won 2:1 thanks to a late Svetina goal. For the Slovenians it was also the first win in a deciding game, they had been defeated three times before in the playoffs. Asiago, on the other hand, have won all of their three deciding playoff games in Alps Hockey League history. In the 2017 and 2021 semifinals, the Yellow-Red defeated Jesenice in game 5. In the 2017/18 season, Asiago won their only AHL trophy so far in the showdown against Ritten - this series was a "best of seven". At that time, Michele Stevan scored the Championship-Winning-Goal. The 29-year-old forward is also in the squad this time. His brother Luca Stevan replaced the injured starting goalkeeper Vallini and should also be in the net on Tuesday.

In the 2019 playoffs, the decision was also made in a seventh game, when HK SŽ Olimpija secured the first of two titles against HC Pustertal. Asiago now also have the chance to win their second AHL title, while Jesenice could bring the trophy to Slovenia for the third time in a row. The game will be shown as a livestream on www.valcome.tv.
