The title has always gone to Italy so far: The Rittner Buam won the first Alps Hockey League title 2017 and Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 earned the trophy last season.
The best of seven series between HC Pustertal Wolves and the green dragons will start with two matches in Bruneck. Final 1 will be played in Bruneck on Thursday 20:00 and game 2 will already follow in the same arena on Friday. Then, the finals will continue with two games in Ljubljana on Sunday and Monday. The new Champion will be known after a maximum of seven games within 10 days on April 21st 2019.
• While HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana has won their semifinals against EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau with a sweep 3:0 and will start rested into the finals, HC Pustertal Wolves needed five games to eliminate HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice in the semifinals and have qualified for the finals just few hours ago.
