Tom Barrasso head-coach of Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey, time 60:00 was involved in an incident deemed as Unsportsmanlike Conduct (IIHF Rule 75).

Friday night in Linz, Asiago head-coach Tom Barrasso was involved in an incident deemed as unsportsmanlike conduct against the on-ice officials. Resulting in a Game-Misconduct penalty being assessed.

Based on the video and game reports directly from the 4 game officials, at the conclusion of the game, Asiago head-coach Tom Barrasso while exiting the ice, engaged the game officials. The conduct is deemed demeaning and directed at the game officials.

It is the responsibility of all participants, at the conclusion of the game, to demonstrate sportsmanship as the game has concluded. Instead of walking directly to the dressing room area while exiting the ice, Barrasso made a willing choice to walk towards the time keeper area where the game officials were located. This incident continued after an extended period of time and multiple verbal remarks, which is deemed demeaning conduct directed at the game officials.

The ICE Hockey League Department of Player Safety has fined Tom Barrasso 1000.00 euros of which 500.00 euros are due immediately and 500.00 euros are set on probation, should there be similar actions until the end of the ICE Hockey League season 22/23 and the penalty will be imposed in addition to new sanctions.
