Like so many Danish professionals, Mathias From played in Sweden for a long time, making his SHL debut with Rögle BK at the age of just 17. After being selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2016 NHL Draft, the winger played primarily in the HockeyAllsvenskan between 2017 and 2023, where he represented the traditional clubs Södertälje, AIK, MoDo and Västerås. In the meantime, he played for Düsseldorf in the DEL in the 2020/21 season. The right winger has been back in his home country since October 2022 and became the league's top scorer with Herning in both the Regular Season and the playoffs last season: In total, he recorded 86 points in 57 league games.

Mathias From: "I chose the EC-KAC because it is one of the strongest clubs in Austria and the ICE. My goal is to win a championship, and in Klagenfurt you always have the chance to do just that. Of course I know Sebastian Dahm and Jesper Jensen Aabo from the national team, I'm currently at the World Championship with Jesper, here in the Czech Republic and even before that at camp we talked a lot about the EC-KAC and Klagenfurt. He speaks very highly of the club, so I'm really looking forward to joining the club myself soon. I was told how great the KAC fans are and how good life is in Klagenfurt. The club's history is full of successes and we will do everything we can in the coming season to bring the championship trophy back to Klagenfurt."
