On Thursday, the EK Die Zeller Eisbären will face the HC Gherdeina valgardena.it, among others, in the Alps Hockey League. The South Tyroleans were able to win all of their last four games. Already six victories in a row celebrated S.G. Cortina Hafro, who will play at the EHC Lustenau. The Vorarlberg team, on the other hand, is still waiting for its first win of the season after regular playing time. Due to the bad start to the season, Lustenau once again became active on the transfer market and signed forward Ryan Hayes. The US-American replaced the Finn Oskari Siiki, who only played six times for the EHC.

With four defeats in a row, the EC-KAC Future Team is currently in poor form. The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan, on the other hand, recently celebrated two wins in a row (4:3 vs. Bregenzerwald & 5:2 @Fassa). In the table, the South Tyroleans are in eighth place with eleven points. The Future Team has seven points and is eleventh in the table. In the H2H, the Broncos held the upper hand in three of four duels last season.

The EK Die Zeller Eisbären bounced back last Saturday with a 9:1 home win over Merano, after previously suffering two defeats in a row. Overall, the "Polar Bears" won five from eight games this season, which means the sixth place in the table. Immediately ahead is the HC Gherdeina valgardena.it. The South Tyroleans have a winning streak of four games. With 16 points, they are already four points ahead of Zell am See. Last season EKZ won three out of four games against the "Furie".

Thu, 13.10.2022, 19:30: EHC Lustenau - S.G. Cortina Hafro
Referees: BENVEGNU, SORAPERRA, Fleischmann, Müller. | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<
The EHC Lustenau is still in bad form. The Vorarlberg team lost last Saturday at the Red Bull Hockey Juniors clearly with 1:6. It was already their fourth defeat in a row. Of the first six games of the season, the table-14th could win only one game after overtime. Against fourth-placed S.G. Cortina Hafro, who won six games in a row and therefore has the longest winning-streak together with Jesenice, a turnaround will not be easy. Newcomer Ryan Hayes will not be in the squad against Cortina. The US American replaced Finn Oskari Siiki, who scored one assist in six appearances. Hayes spent his first professional years in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) before moving to Europe for the first time in 2015. After stops in Edinburgh and Sheffield, he moved to the Swiss League in 2017.

Thu, 13.10.2022, 20:00: Rittner Buam SkyAlps - Red Bull Hockey Juniors
Referees: BULOVEC, STEFENELLI, Cristeli, Snoj. | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<
While the Rittner Buam SkyAlps have already been waiting for a success for three games, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors were able to win all of their last two games. Only on Tuesday they won with 4:2 against second-placed Hockey Unterland Cavaliers. They follow behind the league newcomers in third place in the standings. Ritten is in tenth place. The gap to RBJ is already eleven points. However, the South Tyroleans have still played three games less than the Salzburg team. Last season, the two teams faced each other twice. While at the "Buam" the Young Bulls were successful with 4:3-SO, Ritten prevailed away clearly with 8:2.

Thu, 13.10.2022, 20:30: HC Merano/o Pircher - SHC Fassa Falcons
Referees: EGGER, GIACOMOZZI, Brondi, Pace. | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<
With seven losses in a row, bottom of the table HC Merano/o Pircher is currently in bad form. The South Tyroleans could only win at the beginning of the season against the KAC Future Team. Already in two games they conceded nine goals. Overall, Merano has the weakest defense in the league with 40 goals conceded in eight games. SHC Fassa Falcons started the season only marginally better, with two wins from seven games. In the table, the "Falcons" are in twelfth place. Last season, the away team always prevailed with one goal difference.
