Former NHL-forward Peter LeBlanc joins Zeller Eisbären

EK Die Zeller Eisbären have signed Canadian Peter LeBlanc. The 30-year old forward played one NHL-game for the Washington Capitals 2013/14. Last season, he went for goals for the Fife Flyers in Great Britain. Besides, EC Bregenzerwald and Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro have announced contract extensions.

Big signing for EK Die Zeller Eisbären! Canadian power-forward Peter LeBlanc joins the club from Pinzgau and will add much experience to the team. LeBlanc has already played one NHL-match for the Washington Capitals 2013/14. Besides, the 30-year old forward went for goals and points in 266 AHL-games between 2010 and 2014, scoring 140 points (60G/80A) or in 75 games in the East Cost Hockey League adding another 59 points (21G/38A) to his statistics. In Europe, the reliable scorer has already played for clubs in Sweden, Finland and Great Britain. Last season, LeBlanc was a key-player for the Fife Flyers (GBR). For the team from Kirkcaldy, LeBlanc netted 20 goals and 37 Assists out of 60 EIHL-games past season.
 
Two key-players stay „Wälder“, Cortina has resigned two youngsters
Two, important signings for EC Bregenzerwald! Austrian nationalteam player Daniel Ban will go for goals and points for the "Wälder" in the upcoming season as well and Fin Panu Hyypää will continue to defend for the west-club too! Each player had a key-role in the team 2017/18: Daniel Ban was the club's best (goal-)scorer last season,  the 24-year old forward potted 25 goals and 21 Assists out of 39 Alps Hockey League-games. 31-year old Fin Panu Hyyppä had 15 points (3G/12A) out of 34 matches and the best plus-minus-statistic (+18) in the team…
 
Italian forward Alessandro Zanatta and Italian defenseman Massimo Cordiano will continue to play for Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro 2018/19 as well. Each player will start into his second Alps Hockey League season with the Italians in September. 21-year old power-forward Zanatta had five points (2G/3A) out of 39 games last season, 23-year old Cordiano four points (1G/3A) out of 38 matches.
