Cole Bardreau celebrates his 32nd birthday on July 22 and is coming to Europe for the first time, finding his way to Brunico through his friendship with former Pustertal player Reece Willcox (2021-2023 with HCP). Cole represented his home country at two Junior World Championships during his time at university: 2011 (U18 in Germany) and 2013 (U20 in Russia). As vice-captain, Bardreau won the gold medal each time with Team USA.

After college, he immediately made the leap into professional hockey. Willcox and Bardreau crossed paths for three years with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Later, without ever being drafted, he earned himself a leadership role in the Islanders organization and made eleven NHL appearances for the New York Islanders thanks to strong performances in the AHL.
