One goal gives Fehervar win in Vienna
The Caps took over command early in the game with Taylor Vause failing to score in the first minute because of Fehervar goalie MacMillan Carruth. After new arrival Peter Schneider and MacGregor Sharp missed some more chances, the opening period ended goalless. After the restart Fehervar became dangerous first but JP Lamoureux made a big save on Luka Vidmar. Soon later the guests received the first penalty and Vienna pressed hard for the first goal but Fehervar stood tall. Out of nothing the Hungarians took the lead when Jeff LoVecchio (33th)converted a Music pass. Just one minute later things became emotionally in frnt of Lamoureux who was involved in a scramble and received a game misconduct. Backup Matthias Tschrepitsch replaced him for his EBEL debut. The 18 year-old had some good saves in the upcoming PK and the score remained 0:1 for the visitors. The hosts came out hard in the third but Fehervar played solid defensively. With three minutes to go Ryan McKiernan only hit the post and soon later Serge Aubin pulled his goalie for another skater. This evening it was without success, though. Carruth had 43 saves for Fehervar's fourth successive win, their first road win in regulation.

Red Bulls take points from Bolzano
Bolzano had three new arrivals in their lineup against Salzburg. While goalie Sedlaced and forward Pietrobon were added in the last few days, the signing of Finnish forward Matias Sointu was announced just a few hours before the game. The 27 year-old winger has signed a one-month contract. The Red Bulls had the better of the play early in the game, though. Later in the first Kainz scored the periods only goal for a 0:1 Red Bulls lead. In the middle frame the foxes became stronger but missed some good chances. But then Michele Marchetti broke the spell off a pass by Egger. Bolzano pressed for another goal but the game was tied at one after 40 minutes. After the restart John Hughes retook Salzburg's lead and soon later Harris extended it - 1:3. With four and a half minutes to go Oleksuk halved the deficit but Bolzano could not add another goal. The bottom-placed club has lost eight one-goal games now.

99ers earn home win against Villach
After Graz has missed some chances, Ken Ograjensek broke the spell late in the first on power play. Villach tied the game only 18 seconds later when Miha Verlic finished a 2 on 1 situation. The 99ers restored their lead early in the third with another pp goal by Brock Higgs. Once again the Carinthians equalized with Andrew Sarauer finding the back of the net halfway through the game. With four minutes to go it was again Graz' time to celebrate when Brock Nixon's deflection went in. VSV tried hard to bounce back but this time the hosts went one better. After a great play by Oliver Setzinger, Markus Pirman only had to put in the puck - 4:2. When Villach pulled their goalie Ograjensek made the game safe with an empty netter.

Klagenfurt ends Linz' home series
In a game between Linz and Klagenfurt the goalies were in the linelight in the opening period as Ouzas and Duba kept a clean sheet. After a goalless first, the visitors took the lead after 33 mintues when Ramon Schnetzer scored his first ever EBEL goal. Linz anwered with a brace, Corey Locke (pp) and Fabio Hofer turned the game around in just one minute. In the third it was all Klagenfurt. First Marco Richter failed to score but then Johannes Bischofberger tied it at two. The Carinthians had chances to decide it in regulation but were not able to do. After Linz missing the first chances in overtime, David Fischer decided the game to Klagenfurt's favour on a rebound.
