Foxes and Caps active on the transfer market

Both HCB Südtirol Alperia and the spusu Vienna Capitals announced player transfers immediately after the intense period around the turn of the year. While the Foxes made a goalie swap and signed their goalie from the previous season, Sam Harvey, to replace Niklas Svedberg, the spusu Vienna Capitals opted for an additional offensive force in the form of Canadian Reid Stefanson.

Sam Harvey - Return to HCB Südtirol Alperia

The 25-year-old goaltender Sam Harvey is returning to HCB Südtirol Alperia. Harvey, a native of Alma, Quebec, had previously spent one season with Lukko Rauma in the Finnish Liiga, where he impressed with a 92.2% save percentage and three shutouts. Last season, he was voted MVP by HCB fans and was instrumental in the team reaching the Final 7. Harvey began his career in the QMJHL with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, winning the championship twice and the CHL Memorial Cup. After a year at the University of New Brunswick and brief stints with the San Jose Barracuda in the AHL, he played for the Fort Wayne Komets in the ECHL before moving to Europe. Harvey is expected to suit up for Bolzano in their next game against Hydro Fehervar AV19. With Harvey's arrival, Niklas Svedberg, the current goaltender, leaves the club.

Reid Stefanson - new addition to the spusu Vienna Capitals

Reid Stefanson, a 26-year-old Canadian forward, joins the spusu Vienna Capitals. Stefanson previously played for the Maine Mariners in the ECHL, where he scored 22 points in 22 games this season. Stefanson, born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, played for the Winnipeg Blues in the MJHL during his junior career and later for the Minot Minotauros in the NAHL and the Sioux Falls Stampede in the USHL. At UMass Lowell, he collected a total of 63 points in 103 college games. Stefanson, known for his versatility and reliability on offense, sees his move to Vienna as a new challenge in his career. He is expected to arrive in Vienna on Monday and join the Vienna Capitals.
