Matt Fraser came to Klagenfurt in December 2020 as a midseason reinforcement. He scored 20 goals in the remaining 41 games on the way to the ICE championship title, ten of them in the playoffs. In final number five in Bolzano, he was responsible for the championship winning goal. He followed up his strong debut season in Klagenfurt with a solid second season. He scored 21 league goals and advanced to become by far the best goal scorer in the squad.

Matt Fraser: "It is exciting to return to Klagenfurt. Judging by how our last season went, it's all about showing the will to improve again for our team and of course for me personally, because we all know that in the end we didn't achieve what would have been possible. But our eyes have long since turned to the future, to a new year in which the face of our team will change a little. For my wife and me it is very positive that we will continue to live in Klagenfurt in the future, we have fallen in love with the area and feel very comfortable with the organization. It's a privilege to be able to represent a club as traditional and successful as EC-KAC, and I will do everything I can to do my part to ensure that this great history continues."
