After Fassa celebrated two victories recently, the Falcons started very good into the home match against Gardena. Already after 55 seconds Luca Biondi provided the lead. In the fourth minute Diego Iori even increased to 2:0. The guests put the early setbacks away well and subsequently determined the action on the ice. Anthony DeLuca got his team on the scoreboard with a shorthanded goal and Kevin Schulze equalized before the end of the first period. In the middle period, Gardena was the dominating team for long stretches, but even in two power plays they did not score - after 40 minutes it remained 2:2. In the third period, Fassa went ahead again: Sebastian Selin sank a 2 on 1 counterattack to give the home side the lead again. Barely one and a half minutes later Brad McGowan equalized with a nice solo and it got even better for the South Tyroleans. Two minutes before the end of regulation time, Val Gardena was awarded a power play and DeLuca scored with a shot into the short corner. With the 4:3 win in the Derby Ladino, Val Gardena left the bottom of the table.
