Gherdeina strikes down the leaders

Broncos stay on track
The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan continued their strong start to the season, earning their fourth win with a 4-3 home victory over Cortina. The South Tyroleans now sit level on points with Sisak in second place, underlining their credentials as title contenders.
The Broncos laid the foundation early, racing to a 3-0 lead in the opening period with goals from Fabian Gschliesser, Franco Sproviero and Alex Zecchetto. Cortina battled back through Alberto Colli, Tommaso Alverà and Andrea De Luca, but Bryson Cianfrone’s strike for 4-1 proved decisive.
