Sisak have won their opening four games. On Thursday, the Croatians celebrated a 4-1 home win against Jesenice. On Saturday, the league leaders head to Wolkenstein for a challenging task. HC Gherdeina recently handed defending champions EK Zeller Eisbären their first defeat of the season. The South Tyroleans earned a 3-1 home victory, their second win of the campaign. Last season, Sisak came out on top in two of three encounters between the teams.

The matchup between Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan and Hafro Cortina Hockey is considered a true duel of contenders. The Sterzing side earned a shutout win in Meran on Thursday and currently sits in second place. Cortina, just one spot behind, also has eight points from four games under head coach Gaber Glavič. Last season, Cortina won two of the three matchups, while the Broncos claimed one victory.

Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel and Rittner Buam SkyAlps are also table neighbors. The fourth-placed Tyroleans started the season with two wins but have since suffered back-to-back losses. Ritten, meanwhile, staged a big turnaround on Thursday. After consecutive defeats, the South Tyroleans were trailing 0-3 against the Juniors but rallied to a 4-3 victory. All three 2025 meetings between the sides were decided by just one goal – Ritten taking two of them.

For the eighth-placed Red Bull Hockey Juniors, the campaign continues with a home game against Unterland after their bitter defeat in Klobenstein. The Cavaliers have managed just one win from four matches – against Ritten on the road. Salzburg has won five of the last six clashes, though Unterland claimed the most recent one in late January with a 3-0 scoreline.

After earning two wins, Meran suffered a setback in their 0-4 loss to Sterzing. Bregenzerwald, on the other hand, celebrated their first win of the season in their third game, defeating Kitzbühel on Wednesday. Of the four AHL encounters in Dornbirn so far, both teams have two wins each.

Jesenice dropped their second away game of the season with a 1-4 defeat at Sisak and currently ranks only tenth. They now host HC Asiago, the league’s bottom side. The Italians remain the only team yet to register a point this season, having suffered heavy defeats in all three of their games so far.
